The Time I Manifested Trash

While this experience may seem a little silly and even common place, there was a profound lesson in it for me:  when setting an intention for something we wish to manifest, we need to be as clear and detailed as possible, while still leaving a little wiggle room to be provided with something even better than we could have imagined.

We are constantly sending out energetic signals and they are answered in kind.  I don’t know about you, but I’m going to start adopting the practice of tacking on “with ease and grace, for my highest and best good” whenever setting an intention to manifest something new in my life.  Maybe next time I’ll be taken directly to the beauty and avoid the junk altogether.

Grief, Fear and Control

Beginning to take back control of my life after a series of losses completely changed the way I live.

“Greif is a journey, one that is likely never truly over.  But those days of giving my life over to Fear are done.  I am reclaiming my Sovereignty.  I am reclaiming my Joy.  Thank you, Fear, for keeping me safe all of these years.  Thank you, Grief, for helping me learn the depth of Love.  You are hereby demoted.  It’s not Me, it’s You.”

Sound Healing Training Complete!

Over the past several months, I worked towards completing a certification in Sound Healing through the Sage Academy of Sound out of Woodstock, New York. Each weekend focused on a different set of sound healing tools including indigenous instruments, conch horns, tuning forks, Himalayan bowls, the voice, gongs, Shruti boxes, and crystal bowls and pyramids, among others. We were taught protocols for using the instruments in individual sessions as well as in group settings such as sound baths. One of the advantages to having many types of instruments, including my voice, is that there are more opportunities to find just the right sound for each client on a particular day.

Growth

One of the things that has been most important to me over the years has been striving for growth. This doesn’t mean that I’ve never been content with where I am in the moment, or haven’t taken the easy way. But what it does mean is that being content or taking the easy way doesn’t last especially long. I am in a nearly constant state of self-reflection, learning, striving… I examine my thoughts and feelings and try to determine where they first originated, how they are impacting my life in the moment, how they are impacting others around me. I certainly have blind spots and have been very blessed to have those in my life who have been willing to give me feedback in an area I may have resistance to seeing clearly, but in many cases I have directly asked for that feedback. I WANT to know how others view me, not from a vain or self-conscious perspective, but rather because it gives me a much larger perspective than I have on my own and allows me to more fully examine and integrate aspects of myself that I may be less proud of. I want to know when I have hurt or disappointed others so that I can hopefully avoid doing so again in the future, and learn and grow from the experience at the same time. To me this is normal and natural. So it was not surprising that growth was one of the themes that emerged during a QHHT session.

Quantum Healing Hypnosis

I follow the philosophy of humanistic psychology in that I believe the client has all the answers they need within themselves already. The role of the therapist is not to provide the information, but facilitate the client accessing it from within… which sounds a lot like the role of the QHHT practitioner! Imagine for a moment, that everything you have ever experienced has been stored. Not in “the cloud”, but in your own unconscious. Now imagine that the unconscious of every single being is pooled together in the Collective Unconscious. Finally, imagine that in the relaxed state of hypnosis, when the rational, objective mind takes a back seat, all of this information becomes available to you. Insights about your life up to that point and your life path, insights about the whole of creation, and everything in between. It is absolutely amazing! While this post may not be about the modality I provide, or directly about this business, whatever connections I make and lives I am privileged to touch in this upcoming year are certainly due in large part to the QHHT sessions that inspired me to follow my heart!
