Re-Mothering the Inner Child

Exploring the Complicated Relationship Between Mothers and Daughters

Sunday, July 23, 1-4pm
Massage by Laura – Marlton, NJ

For many women, the relationship with their mother is very complex.  The archetypal image of the Mother lovingly embracing and nurturing her child may feel foreign to those who were raised by mothers who were not able to provide support and nurture. Scars may remain from past experiences. Regardless of whether their mother is still living or not, many experience the profound loss of the Mother they never had.

In this workshop, through sound, gentle yoga, breathwork, meditation, and mutual support, we will explore this loss and provide opportunities for re-mothering the Inner Child, extending love, compassion, and nurturance within.  We will hold space for the myriad experiences of anger, resentment, grief, confusion, self-pride, determination, contentment, healing, and peace.  We will acknowledge the wounds of the past and claim a new identity forged in self-love.

The workshop is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.  Please bring a journal, yoga mat, and any personal comfort items (blanket, pillow, eye covering, etc) you may wish to use.  The registration fee of $75 is fully refundable through July 9th, and 50% refundable through July 21st.

*The term “daughter” refers to an identity. This workshop is open to all who identify as a daughter.
