Immerse yourself in the otherworldly sounds of the gongs as you are transported to a space of deep relaxation, insight, and healing.  The powerful frequencies resonate with your body on a cellular level, optimizing your physical health and stimulating the free flow of energy, gently releasing stuck emotions. Sound healing practitioners Angelo and Sara Joy utilize a variety of gongs to create a transformational and personalized meditative experience.

This event is co-facilitated with Angelo Rizzo of  Healing Sound Experience. Angelo has over 30 years experience as a professional musician, and was privately trained on a number of different instruments.  He has played music professionally in many bands including Changes and Unity Church, Mount Laurel, NJ. In addition, he has taught music to both children and adults and continues to give private lessons on guitar and piano. He holds a Certificate in Sound Healing from the Globe Institute, San Francisco, CA and has studied sound engineering and music production for over ten years. He is co-owner of Sound Spark Productions LLC, a music production company, where he has produced CDs for other artists in addition to his own.

Re-Mothering the Inner Child

Exploring the Complicated Relationship Between Mothers and Daughters

For many women, the relationship with their mother is very complex.  The archetypal image of the Mother lovingly embracing and nurturing her child may feel foreign to those who were raised by mothers who were not able to provide support and nurture. Scars may remain from past experiences. Regardless of whether their mother is still living or not, many experience the profound loss of the Mother they never had.

In this workshop, through sound, gentle yoga, breathwork, meditation, and mutual support, we will explore this loss and provide opportunities for re-mothering the Inner Child, extending love, compassion, and nurturance within.  We will hold space for the myriad experiences of anger, resentment, grief, confusion, self-pride, determination, contentment, healing, and peace.  We will acknowledge the wounds of the past and claim a new identity forged in self-love.

The workshop is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.  Please bring a journal, yoga mat, and any personal comfort items (blanket, pillow, eye covering, etc) you may wish to use.  The registration fee of $75 is fully refundable through July 9th, and 50% refundable through July 21st. This workshop is co-facilitated with Joan Ordille, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate is Social Work. She holds certifications in Hatha Yoga Instruction and Reiki (Master level). Joan has worked in the hospice setting for the past 17 years, providing program development, supervision, and grief counseling. Joan is a part time lecturer for the Rutgers School of Social Work.
